the Heart Space
Inspiration, Connection & Empowerment
Welcome to the heartbeat of the Heart Body Soul IWD festival! The Heart Space is our main stage, dedicated to the voices that inspire us and the stories that connect us.
Whether you’re looking for a mindset shift, a spiritual awakening, or a burst of vibrant energy, pull up a seat and join the conversation. Hosted by our fabulous MC, Lala Barlow, this stage features a curated line-up of keynote speakers, community leaders, and a special high-energy performance by our resident Belly-dancers.
Important Information for Attendees:
-
Seating: We have seating available for approximately 50–60 guests.
-
Arrive Early: All sessions are free, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure you don’t miss a specific speaker or the belly-dancing performance, we recommend arriving 10 minutes before the session starts.
-
Location: Find us in C-Shed, towards the Peel Street end of the market.
Meet Your MC: Lala Barlow
Lala Barlow is a "nomadic artistic adventurer" who perfectly embodies the spirit of Heart Body Soul. With over 15 years of professional experience across Australia and the UK as an actress, singer, and cabaret star, Lala brings a seasoned, high-energy presence to our Main Stage.
From the West End to the outback, her career has been a masterclass in versatility and creative expression.
But it’s Lala’s life off-stage that truly inspires. Five years ago, she followed her intuition to trade the theatre for the open road. Despite never having ridden a motorcycle, she got her license and embarked on a solo two-year odyssey across South America, traversing the continent from the Caribbean coast to the tip of Argentina.
She is also a qualified personal trainer, energy healer, and tarot reader.
Lala is a woman who refuses to be boxed in.
Her mission is to encourage every woman to forgo their fears and "dance in the divinity of their wildest dreams."
We couldn't think of a better voice to guide us through our Heart Space journey on International Women’s Day.
